Chiang Mai Railway

We drove to the railway station after checking out from our Airbnb. We booked our tickets for the sleeper train that we will be taking on the 5th night of our trip.

Advance tickets can be purchased either from the ticketing counter at the station or online from 12go.asia. The tickets will set you back 856 THB per pax for a 2nd Class Sleeper Ticket from Chiang Mai to Ayutthaya if you get them over the counter, and 1,076 THB per pax over at 12go.asia.

Do note, you will be required to present a passport for every ticket that you are purchasing over the counter.

There is a small eatery within the railway station where you can find staple Thai food to fill your stomach up before your trip.

We had the Noodle Soup with Chicken (40 THB) and Pad Thai with Pork (40 THB).
