Vienna Pleasance Cottage

We arrived at our mingsu (Vienna Pleasance Cottage) slightly before 12pm. We alighted from the bus and took a short dash towards the main cottage of the mingsu. Check In was not available as we arrived too early. We placed our bags at the shelves next to the counter inside the main cottage. Payment for the mingsu was also done. The lady at the counter welcomed and gave us some time to get ourselves ready before she gave us a map and briefed us on what we can see and the modes of transport around the area.

The first mingsu that I stayed in my life. We didn’t get the Mountain View as it was more expensive and we settled for one that was on a block behind instead. There wasn’t much lost for us as there wasn’t much view to start off with due to the mist that was covering the skyline most of the time. Our room was at the end of the block and it came with a balcony. The room was rather big and it came equipped with its own water dispenser, mini fridge as well as the LCD TV. TV channels seems to be rather standard across all the places we stayed at providing quite a number of english movie channels.

The bathroom has a bathtub. The thing to note is that there is apparently a time limit was to when there is hot water, but the timing were rather long and didn’t affect us at all throughout our stay at the mingsu.

The next morning, we woke up early and went for our breakfast at the main villa in our mingsu. We wasn’t expecting that breakfast will be provided as it was not mentioned in our booking from www.booking.com. Breakfast was simple Taiwanese fair served on a buffet line. White porridge, simple dishes, bread, spreads, basic salad bar.

The view was still misty when we were having our breakfast, and though it felt awesome sipping a cup of hot tea in the cold weather, the only element was the view.
