Ruifang District, New Taipei City, Taiwan 224

We bought the Pingxi Day Pass and deposited our bag at the train station.

We walked around the Ruifang station and stumbled into this food market that is very much like our hawker centre here in Singapore. While walking around the food market, we also spotted a group of guys who was confronting an uncle. I tried to catch glimpses of the scene as we walked pass them while acting as though we didn’t care.

We settled for our first bowl of Oyster Mee Sua and our first plate of Oyster Omelette and it was super good!

We cleaned up our plates, and walked back to the train station. We bought a cup of bubble tea from the shop nearby. Initially we wanted to order the large cup, and the lady who served us pointed out that the large cup was actually the XXL cup. We settled for the mid-sized cup instead.

There was a lot of people who were waiting for the train at the platform and as the train arrived at the station, the passengers boarded the bus with as much “aunty-ness” as how we would expect in Singapore. The train was like our MRT with free seating, and we didn’t manage to get a seat.
