We had a sashimi craving so we decided to drop by Osaka Central Fish Market.

We alighted at Noda Station and it was a long walk to the fish market. Much to our disappointment, we went on a day that the market was closed and most of the shops within the market itself is not open for business.

We eventually found a place where we can get lunch. Located at a building that is outside the actual fish market itself, Sushi Maruchu is located next to the famed Endo Sushi. We chose to pop by Sushi Maruchu as they offered a sashimi platter.

We ordered a sashimi platter & a donburi set. Once again, the donburi set came with a side portion of ramen.

While the food was fresh, it was nothing fantastic nor mind-blowing, taking into consideration the distance that you have to travel to get to the market. If you happen to be at the market, do pop by as the lunch sets are quite reasonably priced.

The ala-carte items were however quite pricey. That being said, I would not make a trip down just for sashimi as I believe you can get equally good quality food at a way more accessible location.
