(Tsumago to Magome)
The Nakasendo Walking Trail allows travels to move between Tsumago and Magoma on foot. We visited the visitor’s center to grab the trail map before starting our trek towards Magome. The 8km trail starts at the southern end of Tsumago.
Though there are markers along the trail, some parts of the trail requires you to walk on the main road. If you are uncertain about where to go, look out for travellers coming from Magome and walk towards where they came from.
After you leave Tsumago, the next time you will find a place that sells food and water is the top of the Magome-toge mountain pass.
We finally reached Magome after a 2 1/2 hours hike.
