We chanced upon Go!Go! curry when we were walking around Akihabara. The gorilla mascot on the signboard caught my eye when I was waiting to cross the road.

A staff pointed out to us the English menu was on the wall next to the vending machine where we had to order our food from. To order, insert your money into the vending machine and choose what you would like to order. You can also customise the level of spiciness and portion size. The machine will issue you tickets for each item that you order and you just have to pass them to the staff after finding your seat.

Each portion came with rice, shredded cabbage, a protein of your choice and a generous portion of curry. The tonkatsu (deep fried breaded pork) had a light and crispy batter which encased a huge piece of juicy pork underneath. The curry had a rich, meaty flavour that is dark brown in colour and the cabbage helped lighten the flavour. This is one of the best curry rice that I have eaten. A highly recommended diner if you are looking for authentic Japanese food.
