Yaowarat
(Chinatown)

Yaowarat Rd, Khet Samphanthawong, Krung Thep Maha Nakhon, Thailand

After our breakfast at Sabx2, we boarded a taxi and headed to Yaowarat, the Chinatown of Bangkok. Unsure of which part of Yaowarat to alight at, we alighted at some random street next to the main road.

Yaowarat refers to the main road. There are several shops selling bird nest and sharks fin along the main road.

The main walking street is located off the main road at one of the alleys. To locate it, simply ask any of the shopkeepers to point you towards the direction that you should take. The walking street is hard to miss with the huge crowd.

On one side of the street you will find the wet market selling different type of spices and preserved foods. On the other side, you will find a huge array of shops ranging from toys to stationaries items, to jewellery spread out over a vast network of alleys. There were a lot of people by the time we reached the walking street.
