We visited Numazukou, a kaitenzushi (conveyor-belt sushi) restaurant at Shinjuku. The queue was short when we arrived and we did not have to wait long to get a seat.

Instead of charging a flat rate per plate like Muten Kura Sushi (Kyoto), Numazukou charges different prices for the sushi depending on the colour of the plate. A menu with both Japanese and English words was provided. You can either pick up a plate from the conveyor belt, or you can order directly from the chefs behind the counter.

The service in the restaurant was mostly good other than one of the older chefs who appears to be slightly angsty when we placed our orders with him.

The restaurant took a while to find as it is tucked away inside one of the alleys.
Numazukou might be more expensive than other kaitenzushi restaurants, but you can also expect higher quality food from Numazukou.
